Position Summary:
Weld Technician is responsible for cutting and joining various types of metals and materials. You will operate appropriate equipment to construct mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it delivers the foundation for strong infrastructure of our products. A Weld Technician must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment while following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Position, align, and fit components together for welding
- Secure parts in position using bolts, clamps, and tack welds
- Set up welding equipment and perform welding using various techniques (arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc)
- Assemble parts using bolting and riveting methods
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
- No supervisory responsibilities associated with this role
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
