Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
General Assembly:
- Position parts based on knowledge or blueprints
- Fasten parts using bolts, clips, screws, roller swage, or other methods
- Use hand files and scrapers for precise fits between parts
- Operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines for assembly
Monorail Assembly:
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other
- Operate machines under the monorail system for specific operations
- Rotate between different work stations as production needs dictate
- Perform tasks on the assembly line as different models move along
Quality Control and Finishing:
- Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy of parts and assemblies
- Paint components according to specification
- Package product securely for shipment.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or Equivalent combination of education and experience
- One to three months of related experience and/or training
