Position Summary:

Weld Technician is responsible for cutting and joining various types of metals and materials. You will operate appropriate equipment to construct mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it delivers the foundation for strong infrastructure of our products. A Weld Technician must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment while following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Position, align, and fit components together for welding
  • Secure parts in position using bolts, clamps, and tack welds
  • Set up welding equipment and perform welding using various techniques (arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc)
  • Assemble parts using bolting and riveting methods
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
  • No supervisory responsibilities associated with this role

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
